In folklore and magical traditions, Foxglove is associated with matters of the heart, protection, healing and connection to the spirit world. it is believed that foxglove can enhance and speed up the effects of other magical mixtures which is why its often found in flying ointments and other magical potions, especially when prophetic vision is the main objective.
