Gatekeepers stand at the doorway, choosing who gets to enter and who is forbidden. A gatekeeper plant can be an ally, who helps to open one’s energy centers and expand their awareness or it can be a foe who acts upon the mind as well as the physical body in cruel and punishing ways. for this reason, respect and reverence is always required when working with these plants. This painting features Belladonna and Brugmansia, two extremely powerful and dangerous gatekeepers which have been used through many centuries to access realms beyond our everyday consciousness.
